a new and unique kind of aqua aerobics
Finrobics combines cardio and resistance training by using a monofin with various props including kickboards and resistance bands. Monofins are often considered a competitive diver and Olympic swimmer training tool, therefore they are not often used by the average swimmer. Typically using a monofin requires to swim with one’s head underwater throughout an entire lap. With Finrobics you can receive many of the health benefits of monofin swimming without submerging the head underwater whatsoever. Some of the benefits of using a monofin include spinal mobility through the undulations occurring during the dolphin kick swim motion, abdominal training, leg training, ankle mobility, and cardiovascular health. Allowing the head to remain above water while swimming with a monofin makes Finrobics much more accessible to a wider range of populations including elderly, those who struggle with obesity, or anyone who requires low impact exercise. Finrobics is great for anyone who wants to experience longevity and maintain a healthy spine. The uniquely crafted exercises are design to work out the entire body. It is safe, effective and fun!

“Finrobics is a unique water aerobics class that incorporates a mono fin, kick boards and exercise loops within Wendy’s lessons. I had never used water fins before, but managed to learn how to exercise with a mono fin during the first class! Wendy’s class includes a warm up prior to her instruction and concludes with a cool down and stretching activities. She provides group instruction, but will support individuals as needed. She’s extremely positive and encourages everyone to have fun! I’ve completed two of her sessions and plan to enroll in a third session! Super fun and unique!”
